Amanda Boneau, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word in May 2024 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University in 2020.

Dr. Boneau has a special interest in pediatrics, dry eye treatment, contact lenses, and primary care. Her journey into optometry began after a mission trip to Mexico, where the rewarding experience inspired her to pursue a career in the field. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and finds it incredibly fulfilling to improve someone’s quality of life with something as simple as a pair of glasses.

In her free time, Dr. Boneau enjoys giving back to the community and continuing to learn about advancements in optometry.

Dr. Ezzell is an Abilene native and a graduate of Abilene High School. He attended Abilene Christian University for two years and played baseball for the Wildcats. He went on to complete his Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University.

In 1998, Dr. Ezzell received a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and joined Family Vision Associates in July. Dr. Ezzell sees patients of all ages and uses the latest technology to evaluate the visual system, diagnose and treat ocular disease, and conduct refractive surgery consultations. Dr. Ezzell is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Ezzell enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing outside the practice. He serves on the board of directors of the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and is active at his church. Dr. Ezzell’s wife, Carin, is also an Abilene native, and they have two sons, Andrew and Matthew.

Dr. Preston grew up in northern Wisconsin and performed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She then graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1987. Dorothy moved to Abilene with her husband, Kerry, who served a three-year commission at Dyess Air Force Base hospital.

Thinking highly of Abilene, they decided to stay and make it their home. They have since raised their two daughters, Allie and Laura, here. Dorothy joined Family Vision Associates in 1992. She enjoys her work and caring for all of her wonderful patients. Dr. Preston is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

Outside the office, Dorothy has served on numerous boards in the community and is currently active in the Abilene Philharmonic Association and Community Foundation Future Fund. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with their grown daughters.
